Demographics of Persons under the age of 21 years with Hearing Aids

Hearing loss amongst children fitted for the first time in 2011.
As described above, and seen in Figure 4, there were two main peaks in the age of fitting for children
who received their first hearing aids in 2011. Table 19 and Figure 9 show that majority of children
who were fitted at school entry age and above have a mild degree of hearing loss in the better ear.
