time in teaching those who needed<br />
instructions and assigning craftsmen<br />
and laborers to their various<br />
tas ks. Soon everyone was busily<br />
an d happily working. Carpenters<br />
started hewing board s out of the<br />
acacia logs an d planks that had<br />
been brought in . Metal workers<br />
melted down or pound ed out the<br />
metals. Weavers and seamstresses<br />
wor ke d on cloth . Gem-cutters<br />
planned how to use the precious<br />
stones.<br />
Work on the tabernacle was<br />
something that couldn't be rushed .<br />
It required great care and skill , for<br />
everything that went into this project<br />
was to be mad e as close to perfection<br />
as hu man hands could make<br />
it. <strong>The</strong> men and women were very<br />
careful to perfo rm superior workmanship<br />
in making God's tabernacle<br />
and its furnishi ngs.<br />

chest that was to contain the two<br />
tables of sto ne on which the Ten<br />
Comma ndments are written, t he<br />
altar on which sacrifices were to be<br />

Israelites for the tab ernacle were from<br />
Egyptian army equipment washed ashore<br />
from the Red Sea.
