Biographical Profiles Report
The following are the Biographical Profiles for the USC Shoah Foundation Collection, by Michigan
State University, Digital Multimedia Center.
The Biographical Profile is a print-out of basic biographical information associated with each
testimony. It can be used as a guide and research tool for library patrons, researchers, educators and
students who are interested in learning more about the testimonies in this visual history collection.
Before each interview took place, a Pre-Interview Questionnaire (PIQ) was filled out. The PIQ
contained questions about the interviewee’s background and experience; it was completed by the
interviewer and later catalogued by the Institute’s staff. The Biographical Profile is a short summary
of the PIQ, providing basic information about the testimonies in the Institute’s archive. These
biographical profiles are also accessible through the Visual History Archive Online
http://vhaonline.usc.edu .
