Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites
Combining the comfort and style of 21st-century hotel accommodations with the revolutionary
experience of 18th-century history in a scenic setting, the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel &
Suites is the perfect spot for an old-fashioned getaway, business conference or family vacation.
The contemporary, three-story, 300-room hotel offers 96 suites and 204 guest rooms, all
accessed from secure, interior hallways. The hotel features a spacious lobby finished in warm
heart pine bathed in natural light from cathedral ceiling skylights, and a number of recreational
options from an outdoor pool, miniature golf and walking trails to horseshoes and ping pong.
The Woodlands offers “Colonial Kids Club” every summer from mid-June to Aug. 31. The
popular day camp provides children of hotel guests a vacation of their very own during a
morning or an afternoon session of fun. Daily supervised activities for children aged 5 to 12
include arts and crafts, 18th-century children’s games, a visit to kid-friendly sites in the Historic
Area, lunch and the company of other children. Activities vary daily and offer guests of Colonial
Williamsburg hotels the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf, a visit to the spa, shopping, a
leisurely lunch or simply relaxing alone confident their children are safe and secure enjoying
themselves under the care of a qualified activities director.
Guest rooms at the Woodlands each have two full-size beds, a sitting area with a desk and two
chairs, coffee pots, a comfortable lounge chair (that converts to a single bed) and cable TV. Each
suite has a sitting room with queen sofa bed, desk and cable TV, as well as a convenience
counter with small refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffeemaker, and a separate bedroom with
king-size bed and second TV.
Country Toile wallpaper by WILLIAMSBURG products licensee Waverly decorates each room,
as do Lane furniture and Waverly upholstery fabrics. Selected photography of gardens and other
outdoor scenes of the Historic Area complement the décor.
Guests of the Woodlands start the morning with a continental breakfast buffet (included in the
room rate) served just off the lobby area near the fireplace. For full-service dining, HUZZAH! –
a family-friendly, 125-seat restaurant – is located across from the lobby along the pedestrian
promenade to the Visitor Center.
All guest rooms in the Woodlands include complimentary wireless Internet access. In addition,
guests can stay connected to the office via the Woodlands business center. Located near the
lobby area, the business center houses two computer workstations, facsimile transmittal, copy
services, high speed Internet access and limited office supplies. An ATM is conveniently located
in the front lobby.
The Woodlands fitness center, which is located on the promenade leading to Colonial
Williamsburg’s Visitor Center, provides guests the opportunity to stay in shape with free weights,
treadmill, elliptical machines, a Smith machine and a stationary bike. Towels and bathroom
services are offered onsite.
