Using Public Transport<br />
From the main Station or Klagenfurt City<br />
From the central station take the bus line 80 or 81 directly to the Alpen-Adria Universität or take any bus line to<br />
Heiligengeistplatz (town center) and then bus line 80 or 81 to the Alpen-Adria University. The Lakeside Labs are within<br />
walking distance (about 3 minutes).<br />
From the airport<br />
Take the bus line 42 to Heiligengeistplatz (town center), change to line 80 or 81 to the Alpen-Adria University. The<br />
Lakeside Labs are within walking distance (about 3 minutes).<br />
Airport to Seepark Hotel by taxi will cost approximately 25 Euros and will take approximately 15-20minutes.<br />
By car from the Airport<br />
· Turn right into the Flughafenstraße (500 m)<br />
· Turn right into the Josef Sablatnig Straße (1 km)<br />
· Turn right onto the Südautobahn/A2 heading to Villach, Italy, Deutschland, Slowenien (13 km)<br />
· Take Südautobahn/A2 Exit Klagenfurt West, Slowenien, Wien, Wörthersee, Wien, Graz, Klagenfurt-Wörthersee<br />
· Continue along Wörthersee-Südufer-Straße, direction E652, B91, Loiblpass, Slowenien, Wörthersee Süd, Wien, Graz<br />
(800m)<br />
· Turn left into Klagenfurt University.<br />
Pre Conference Registration and Drinks<br />
If you are in Klagenfurt on the Wednesday evening, we invite you to join us in the bar at the Seepark Hotel, for a<br />
complimentary drink, where you can register for the conference and receive your conference pack. We will have a<br />
registration desk open between 1830 and 1930.<br />
Conference Dinner<br />
The conference dinner on Thursday evening is at Schloss Maria Loretto. Dress is smart casual. This is included in your<br />
conference registration fee, but we have to give the caterers the numbers by Thursday 7 th of November, so if you do not<br />
confirm to me that you are attending there may not be a place for you. The conference Dinner venue is a 5-minute walk<br />
from the university or a 10-minute walk from the Hotel.<br />
Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements and we will try to accommodate them.<br />
Lunches and refreshments will be provided on both days of the conference.<br />
Your Presentation<br />
If you are presenting a paper at the conference, you should look at the updated timetable, which is on the website at<br />
http://academic-conferences.org/ecmlg/ecmlg2013/ecmlg13-timetable.htm Also check with the conference desk when you<br />
register, as we might have had to make last minute changes to the timings. There will be Microsoft PowerPoint 2007<br />
projection facilities available in each room. If you send me your presentation I will upload it onto the conference<br />
computers in advance for you. If you do not do this by Monday 11 th of November you should bring it with you on a<br />
data stick. You can either run your presentation from your USB stick – or you can upload it onto the computer<br />
ahead of your presentation. If you are not planning to attend the full conference it is essential that you tell us when you<br />
will be arriving in preparation for your presentation. If you are not present at the break before your session stream the<br />
Chair may assume you are not coming. Each session is allotted 30 minutes. This means a 20 minute presentation and 5<br />
minutes for questions, leaving 5 minutes to change over from session to session.<br />
PhD Presentations<br />
The PhD sessions will be grouped into 4 or 5 papers. Each presenter is given 10 minutes to present their work. There will<br />
be 5 minutes for questions between presentations, and after all the presentations have been made there will then be a 15-<br />
20 minute discussion period for the session chairs and all those present to provide feedback. You are expected to stay for<br />
at least the full session in which your own presentation is scheduled.<br />
Posters<br />
Please bring your poster on Thursday morning to the registration desk and we will display it for you. The presentation of<br />
posters will be on Friday morning during the morning coffee break.<br />
