FOREWORD<br />

This first edition of this Road Maintenance Booklet has been prepared<br />

<strong>for</strong> circulation and discussion with the aim of gathering comments and<br />

contributions from stakeholders and potential users.<br />

It is intended that the document will be refined and will be suitable <strong>for</strong><br />

translation into a number of local languages to facilitate application at<br />

Wereda, Kebele and community level.<br />
