MANAGEMENT BY LUCK
It is the month of August. It is raining
and the little town where I went
looked totally deserted. It is tough
times, I learn that everybody is in
debt, and.Everybody lives on credit. I
enter the only hotel, lay three Rs.1000
notes on the reception counter, and
go to inspect the rooms upstairs in
order to choose one. The hotel
proprietor takes Rs.1000 notes and
runs to pay his debt to the milk man.
The milk man takes Rs.1000 notes,
and runs to pay his debt to the grower
of this cattle feed, the grower of feed
takes Rs 1000 notes and runs to pay
his debt to the servant and his family
who in these hard times, gave their
services without asking for payment.
The servant runs to the hotel, and
pays off his debt with Rs.1000 notes to
the hotel proprietor to pay for the
outhouse and food that he and his
family got on credit. The hotel
proprietor then lays Rs.1000 notes
back on the counter so that I will not
suspect anything. At that moment, I
came down after inspecting the room
and take back my Rs.1000 notes, after
saying that I did not like any of the
rooms, and leave town. No. one
earned anything. However, the whole
town is now without debt, and looks
to the future with a lot of optimism

OBITUARY
All the members of IIPE-Delhi condoled the sad demise of Prof. M V Gupta, (82), Ex-Controller
of Examinations, IIPE, and Founder Member of IIPE, Maharashtra and prayed for his soul to
