Chemistry Professor Braja K. Mandal will discuss his new book, Polymer Synthesis:
Strategies and Tactics. It presents the latest developments in polymer chemistry,
with emphasis on strategies and tactics to prepare monomers and polymers and to
perform newly developed polymerization reactions. The lecture will be followed
by a dinner with the American Chemical Society, Chicago chapter. For more

Fourth Annual IIT Karl Menger Lecture and Award

This year’s lecturer is Donald Saari, UCI Distinguished Professor, Mathematics
and Economics, and director of the Institute for Mathematical Behavioral
Sciences, University of California, Irvine. He is a member of the U.S. National
Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences,
