Saskatchewan Campaign 2012<br />
Partnership Advertising Opportunities<br />
Tourism Saskatchewan members can access cost-shared assistance to participate in a coordinated provincial advertising<br />
<strong>campaign</strong>. Partner activities supported will promote a tourism attraction, event or experience during the late-April to late-<br />
August time frame. Partners may participate in the following initiatives:<br />
RADIO: Locally produced, partner-specific 25-second radio <strong>com</strong>mercials are available on CJWW-AM (Central<br />
Saskatchewan), CKRM-AM (Southern Saskatchewan), Magic 98.3-FM (Saskatoon), My 92-FM (Regina), CJVR-FM (East<br />
Central Saskatchewan), CK750-AM ( Central Saskatchewan), Wolf-FM (Regina), CKSW-AM (South West Saskatchewan),<br />
Eagle 94.1-FM (South West Saskatchewan). Each ad package purchased includes 25 run-of-station spots. Prices per ad<br />
package vary with each station, ranging from $285 to $415. Partners will be required to work directly with respective radio<br />
stations to develop their messages. Each 25-second message is required to include this <strong>campaign</strong> partner tag at the close:<br />
“(Operator name) is a proud partner of Tourism Saskatchewan.”<br />
OUTDOOR: Outdoor advertising can offer high levels of reach and frequency. Standard 10’ by 20’ poster-boards are<br />
available in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, North Battleford, Prince Albert and Lloydminster and 10’ by 40’ posterboards<br />
are available in rural locations. Partners can purchase a single board or multiple boards for an eight-week period<br />
during the traditional high-volume traffic months: late-April through late-August. Partner costs start at $895 per board<br />
purchased. Creative development services are available as a one-time design cost of $300. Rates may vary with location<br />
selected. Each partner will have their own creative message, which must include the partner <strong>campaign</strong> tag “Proud Partner<br />
of Tourism Saskatchewan” at a minimum specified size. The required graphic will be provided by Tourism Saskatchewan. All<br />
art will require the approval of Tourism Saskatchewan for standard quality control purposes. Any art carrying 2011 branded<br />
messaging will require updating.<br />
PRINT: The Regina LeaderPost and Saskatoon Star Phoenix will be offering display advertising within a special twopage<br />
tourism feature on April 2. These will be followed by full page features on April 21, May 5, May 26, June 9 and June<br />
23. Partner costs start at $540 per 1/8 th page, full color ad within each newspaper. Additional discounts are available for<br />
multiple purchases or both papers.<br />
TELEVISION: Locally produced, partner-specific 30-second television <strong>com</strong>mercials are available on CTV Regina,<br />
CTV Saskatoon, Global Regina and Global Saskatoon. Each ad package will run during a four week time frame beginning<br />
on April 30. Basic production services are available as a one-time cost of $325. Supported TV spots must include this super<br />
at the close: “Proud Partner of Tourism Saskatchewan.” Required graphic will be provided by Tourism Saskatchewan.<br />
GOOGLE ADWORDS/FACEBOOK ADS: Search advertising and social media advertising are two<br />
highly effective forms of online advertising. Google Adwords ads are displayed to consumers at the exact moment they are<br />
searching for products related to your business. Facebook ads are targeted at consumers based on their demographic<br />
information and declared interests. Tourism Saskatchewan will, in consultation with participating operators, create, test,<br />
manage and optimize both <strong>campaign</strong>s. Ads will be exposed to Saskatchewan <strong>resident</strong>s, and will contain links to the partner<br />
listing on www.TourismSaskatchewan.<strong>com</strong>. Ads are charged by Google and Facebook on a per click basis, so <strong>campaign</strong>s will<br />
run for one month or longer depending upon how quickly the <strong>campaign</strong> budget is used up. Buy-in starts at $550. Ad<br />
performance reports (impressions, clicks, and other available metrics) will be prepared after the conclusion of partner<br />
<strong>campaign</strong>s.<br />
SASKTOURISM.COM BANNER ADS: Tourism Saskatchewan’s website sasktourism.<strong>com</strong> receives over<br />
700,000 unique visitors on an annual basis. Run-of-site banner ads reach a highly targeted audience seeking Saskatchewan<br />
travel information. Web banner ads are available at a cost of $275 per banner ad. Production costs for one banner<br />
(maximum of three frames) is included.<br />
