The curved trusses used for roof<br />
support were based on European forms.<br />
This cocktail is inspired by those trusses<br />
and by <strong>the</strong> craftsman who created<br />
decorative inlay surfaces. Note <strong>the</strong><br />
34 individual spokes of a sun symbol.<br />

Best described as a rectangle with<br />
serpentine sides, <strong>the</strong> top is carved to<br />
create a rustic "planking" effect. The<br />
apron, which begins and ends with<br />
intricate edge mouldings, rolls inward<br />
to form a concave swoop. Two drawers<br />
offer storage space.<br />
