Roman Reloaded
Nicki Minaj’s much anticipated sophomore
album was recently released. “Pink Friday:
Roman Reloaded” hit the stores April 3,
and has been sweeping the nation. The
popular female rapper released 22 songs
on the track list and they are as catchy,
unique and tongue twisting as ever. From
the popular hit “Starships” to the repetitive,
unforgettable jam, “Stupid Hoe,” you won’t
be able to get the songs out of your head. If
the upbeat tracks aren’t your taste, Nicki
slows it down in a fan favorite, “Marilyn
Monroe,” singing the lines from a popular
Marilyn quote, “If you can’t handle my
worst you ain’t getting my best.” It’s a
guarantee that after you listen to “Pink
Friday: Roman Reloaded” by Nicki Minaj
that you wont be able to stop hitting the
replay button.

THE NEON TREES
Picture Show
Neon Trees was once what is known as a
“one-hit wonder,” with the release of their
popular catchy pop song “Animal.” After
the release of their newest album “Picture
Show,” it is safe to say that they will no
longer be known for that one single. Though
many of the songs have the same alternativepop
upbeat energy as “Animal,” the songs
on this new album seem to showcase lead
singer Tyler Glenn’s powerful voice more
than the previous album. His aggressive
tone lends a rougher edge to some fairly
fluffy and generic songs which showcase
an overused message. However, this
cliché style of the album is what makes it
enjoyable to listen to over and over again.
In fact, for many people this high energy
alternative-pop album is sure to become a
guilty pleasure.

RASCAL FLATTS
Changed
Once again the popular country music
band, Rascal Flatts, has released another
hit album: “Changed”. Sticking to their
roots of variety, the album includes a mix
of Bluegrass, country-rock, and countrypop;
of course, they still have their great
upbeat songs right alongside a ballad or
two. As usual they had quite a few “loveydovey”
songs, especially sad ones like
“Come Wake Me Up” and “Let It Hurt.”
They’ve also included a very touching
song, for which the album is named, that
includes their tell-tale harmony and great
piano. Besides these, they have some new,
and great, upbeat summer songs especially
the song “Friday”, which makes you antsy
for the end of the week. Even though
Rascal Flatts’ album count is nearing ten,
“Changed” didn’t disappoint in the least.
