Please be advised Deputy Paul Rein passed away on November 7, 2007. Arrangements for Deputy
Rein are detailed below.
Deputy Rein’s son is Retired Davie PD Lieutenant Richard Rein, and Coconut Creek PD Officer
Christopher Beroldi is Paul’s wife’s son.

Honor Guards participating in the funeral service must report to the front of the Au-Rene Theatre no
later than 0930 hours. Please bring your colors. For questions call BSO Honor Guard OIC Sgt.

Mounted Units participating in the funeral service must report at Cooley’s Landing, 450 Southwest
Seventh Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, no later than 0830 hours. For questions call Deputy Fred Parker at

Motor Units from other agencies & jurisdictions participating in the funeral service are asked to
call Lt. Mike DiMaggio at 954-553-2877. Motor Units will muster at Star of David, 7701 Bailey Road in
North Lauderdale, no later than 0830 hours.
Parking for V.I.P.’s only will be available on the first floor of the parking garage. V.I.P.’s are asked to
email Commander Robert Wargin (Robert_Wargin@sheriff.org) to confirm seating and parking.
Attendees are asked to be parked and seated no later than 1030 hours. Sworn personnel attending in
uniform must wear the Class “A” uniform with hat.
Directions to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts – From I-95 exit Broward Boulevard. Go
eastbound on Broward Boulevard to SW Fifth Avenue. Turn right on SW Fifth Avenue, parking garage
for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts will be on your right hand side.
In memory of slain Deputy Paul Rein, contributions may be made to the Sheriff’s Foundation of
Broward County, Inc., Deputy Paul Rein Memorial, 2601 West Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale,
FL 33312.
