Educational cooperation in Bulgaria 2006 / 2007 Textbooks and school equipment Youth exchange 5 Since 1992 in Bulgaria Austrian projects are in progress to improve primary commercial education of youth. In the framework of educational co-operations • classes according to the Austrian curriculum were established at higher secondary commercial colleges, • a training firm network was set up and involved into the international training firm network, • teachers´ training was provided, • teachers as well as students were invited to study in Austria, • students´ exchanges were organized and • the idea of students´ training in training firms was exported into the neighbouring countries. At the moment • all Bulgarian commercial colleges are to be integrated into the existing training firm network supported by Austria from ECO NET funds. All these projects were carried out by KulturKontakt Austria. The Rotary Club Kitzbühel and its partners were involved in these projects since 1994. The Rotarian activities were supported by the Rotary District 1920 Austria West, the Rotary Foundation and sponsors – see TRF Matching Grants projects # 5829 “Implementing Training Firms in the Fundamental Commercial Education – Setting up a Training Firm Network in Bulgaria” 1996/98 and # 57945 “Promotion of Training Firms in the Secondary Commercial Colleges in Bulgaria”, 2005/06. 2006/2007 • newly developed textbooks for commercial subjects were be printed and
