Dear Sir or Madam: September 1, 2012<br />
The Montessori School of Oakton (MSO) is preparing for their 15th Annual Spring Gala Auction Fundraiser,<br />
to be held at the International Country Club in Fairfax on April 13th, 2013. We count on the support of<br />
the community during this event to help us raise enough money to keep MSO an affordable Montessori<br />
option for as many families in the Northern Virginia area as possible. The funds raised from this annual<br />
event enable MSO to keep their tuition the lowest of any Montessori School in Northern Virginia enabling<br />
many more families the option of a Montessori education for their children.<br />
The Montessori School of Oakton is a non-profit, Section 501(c)(3), non-sectarian school that admits all<br />
children regardless of race, creed, color or origin. We serve children in preschool through the sixth grade.<br />
All MSO Students, including preschoolers, give back to their local communities demonstrating a key<br />
component of a Montessori education; that is to ensure children contribute to their community and help<br />
others in need. Here are some of the ways our children practice this:<br />

Planning, cooking, delivering and serving meals weekly for the homeless<br />
Writing letters to our service men and women<br />
Raising money for donation to Heifer International<br />
Raising money for the annual Montessori Model United Nations event (montessori-mun.org).<br />
We hope that you can easily see the value that these opportunities provide our children and the<br />
community and would be willing to support the school auction fundraiser <strong>with</strong> a donation of goods or<br />
services that we can auction off that night to raise funds for the Montessori School of Oakton.<br />
Please be sure any expiration dates for your donations are listed after April as our event will not be held<br />
until April 13th. Include any ad materials <strong>with</strong> your donation including logo’s to be used on the auction<br />
website and at the event itself. Feel free to mail donations to the above address.<br />
