Education EDUCATION & PROGRAMS Programs<br />
Our new Grow Outside initiative took<br />
shape as our education coordinator began<br />
to introduce a number of creative and<br />
engaging youth programs this year. Our<br />
Tools for Teachers curriculum guide turned<br />
the <strong>Gardens</strong> into a living classroom. By<br />
year’s end we chose to become a satellite<br />
partner of the Fairchild Challenge, an<br />
award-winning program founded by the<br />
10<br />
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. And we<br />
kept the <strong>Gardens</strong> lively in the off -season<br />
months with innovative programs like<br />
Discovery Days, Bark <strong>Tower</strong> <strong>Gardens</strong> Dog Day<br />
of Summer, a Summer Film Series and a Kids<br />
Photography Contest.
