The Defense was the heart and soul of the Boilermakers this year. They limited teams to a total of 80 points, the fewest points allowed since 1947. An average of 6.7<br />
pts a game was scored against them, making it the lowest points scored since 1946. The Boilers shut out 5 teams this year.<br />

best of them.<br />
Marc Bubnick ran away from the defenders all<br />
year. He also ran away with the single season<br />
rushing mark (1339 yards) and the career rushing<br />
record (2169 yards) for KHS football history.<br />
