The Visual IVF luminaire has been
designed and developed to provide the
best answer to an increasing demand from
the road and urban lighting market.
The specialist of a lighting installation
requires products which guarantee a strict
compliance of the project technical
specifications.
From the installing firm, more assembly
and maintenance easiness is required.
And finally, a modern and attractive
design, a correct functioning during the
product’s service span and reduced
maintenance costs are required by the
customer.
Body
Formed by a cover and a fixing base, hinged among themselves, and
with a stop at the end, the body is made of a high pressure die-cast
injected aluminium alloy L-2521. After manufacturing, a chromatized
treatment and a polyester paint finish in three possible colour
combinations is done:
• Cover painted in grey RAL 7035 and base in grey Galet (Akzo nobel).
• Cover painted in blue Horn and base in blue Petrol (Akzo nobel).
• Cover and base painted in grey RAL 7035.
Closing system
The blocking of the cover with the base is done without tools, by means
of an only rear closing clip in extruded and anodized aluminium.
Fixing system
The luminaire is fixed to the bracket or column by means of a clamp in
treated steel and stainless steel screws.
Tilting system
A die-cast aluminium piece is incorporated allowing tiltings at 0-3-6 or
9° when column mounted.
Embellishing cover
The fixing and tilting systems are hidden in the interior of the base using
a thermoplastic black cover.
reflector and the glass by means of a computerized silicone deposit.
Lampholder housing
Made of thermoplastic material with two stainless steel clips to be fixed
to the reflector. Relamping without tools is possible. Both a horizontal
and vertical regulation system is available for lamp focusing allowing a
slight adaptation of the photometric distribution.
Control gear tray
Available in two versions, depending on electric class:
• Galvanised steel (Class I)
• Polyamide reinforced with glass fiber (Class II)
Control gear
A compact type called Indalblock®, it incorporates a conventional
ballast with a thermal protection, an independent type or direct pulse
electronic ignitor, as well as the correction capacitor in a single set. All
the hidden cable between these three elements is also incorporated and
it finishes in a single connection terminal block.
Disconnection switch when opened (only for the Class II version)
Formed by an insulating polyamide support with electrical connections
of the Faston F6 type together with a body in polyester reinforced with
glass fiber.
Optical system
Formed by a hydroformed reflector in 99,85% pure aluminium, gloss
anodized finish, and a 4 mm thick engraved flat tempered glass. The IP-
66 high protection index of the optical system is achieved sealing the
Luminous control
The reflector owns a well-studied geometry and next to the flat glass with which it
forms a block, a performance higher than 82% is achieved, Also a luminous control
which minimizes flux emission towards the upper hemisphere is observed, thus,
guaranteeing the compliance with light pollution recommendations.
The photometric distribution is extensive and allows the achievement of adequate
lighting uniformities in installations with distances between the points of light 3.8
times their assembly height. The result is an important energy and installation costs
saving.
Protection indexes
Visual IVF has an optical system with an IP-66 dust-tight and watertight degree
(according to norm EN 60598) guaranteeing the maintenance of luminous
performance for a long period of time.
The complete luminaire has an impact resistance coded as IK 09 (according to norm
Opening disconnection
The electric class II version incorporates a switch for the disconnection of the
electrical circuit when opening the luminaire, making possible a secure maintenance.
Moreover, all the accessible cable in the internal installation is of silicone with a
double insulation.
road lighting
Tlting possibilities
Sometimes due to geometrical requirements of the lighting installation, it is
necessary to vary the luminaire photometric orientation.
The Visual IVF luminaire has a system that allows a variation in the tilting of the pole
mounted luminaire at 0, 3, 6, or 9º with respect to the horizontal plane through a
simple angular displacement of a piece.
Maintenance
The opening of the luminaire is done in a reliable and precise way, by means of a
unique rear clip, with a hinge down of the cover over the fixing base under an 86º
angle with an end stop.
Maintenance operations are done over the luminaire in an ergonomic position.
Relamping is done by opening the two clips that support the lampholder and
extracting the lamp afterwards. The hinged disposition of the cover makes the
operation easier since the extraction of the support is done in a vertical position.
