NOMINATION CRITERIA FOR
THE KING'S DAUGHTERS
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The nominating committee is requesting nominations from the general membership for positions that may become vacant
on The King's Daughters Board of Directors. Please submit the attached form with as much information as possible about
the nominee to The King's Daughters office no later than Friday, February 27, 2009. Nomination of one’s self is
permitted.
Qualifications:
• Be a member of a King's Daughters Circle for a minimum of two years.
• Have worked on a major fund-raising project, or been the Chair of a Circle project, or been a Circle Leader.
• Ability to attend monthly board meetings and board committee meetings
• Ability to attend KD Connect meetings (4-5 per year)
• Ability to become a hospital tour guide and accept additional duties as assigned by The King's Daughters Board of
Directors' President.
• Ability to sign a conflict of interest form and confidentiality agreement.
• Ability to become educated in the workings of The King's Daughters and the other corporations under the umbrella
of the Children's Health Systems, Inc.
• Ability to support CHKD's Annual Giving Campaign.
• Ability to support and attend The King's Daughters' Major Projects each year.
• Ability to act as a spokesperson for The King's Daughters.
• Possess a demonstrated commitment to community service, support for The King's Daughters mission and values,
and have personal integrity.
PLEASE NOTE:
The King's Daughters Board members:
• May not hold a leadership office in their own circle
• May not chair a Major Project
• May not be their Circle's representative at KD Connect meetings.
• May not serve on the Children’s Health System Board of Directors or on a governing board of any of its affiliates,
unless as an ex-officio member.
• Serve as liaison to three circles.
