school year.<br />
• I couldn’t do certain things <strong>an</strong>d the teachers were always hounding me <strong>an</strong>d also I kind of got it<br />
into my head that I wasn’t that smart. Sort of, I don’t know, I think I was kept down. Because I<br />
think I could have done a lot more, but they would always put me in low groups <strong>an</strong>d things, I was<br />
never in the highest reading groups or the spelling groups.<br />
