Sewer Connection Fee Revision Highlights • The Department conducted a comprehensive study to evaluate sewer connection fee methods • RWRD is proposing to change the way it charges sewer connection fees • From the fixture unit equivalent method • To one based on water meter size • The proposed new fee schedule is based on an evaluation of the actual cost for new connections to utilize capacity in the sewer system • The proposed fee structure is intended to have a positive impact on economic development within Pima County 21
