<strong>How</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>set</strong> <strong>QoS</strong> (<strong>ATM</strong>) on DSL?
Purpose:
To verify if the DSLAM can support DS priority function, please <strong>set</strong>:
One port, three PVCs and VLAN mapping,
vlanid 101 <strong>to</strong> high (2), 102 <strong>to</strong> high(1), 103 <strong>to</strong> low(0),104 <strong>to</strong> highest(3)
ADSL Down stream 6Mbps, Up stream 1Mbps.
You can play with the 802.1p which you want. Just make sure the next switch do the right mapping.

Verification:
DS test streams (100K/4Mbps, 1500Bytes IP packet for each VCC) and lasts for 1 minute. DS traffic of
VCC 3 is delivered without packet loss and error, and the number of discarded packets of VCC 1 is more
than that of VCC 2. The packets of US traffic should be tagged with correctly VLAN IDs and user
priority values.
• Create three PVCs of 1 st port, 8/36, 8/37, 8/38

• Disable port

• Change the priority mapping of the portid 1 <strong>to</strong> rt-VBR(high)

• Change the priority mapping of the portid 25 <strong>to</strong> nrt-VBR(medium)

• Change the priority mapping of the portid 49 <strong>to</strong> UBR(low)
$qos port <strong>set</strong> 49 ubr
• Change the priority mapping of the portid 73 <strong>to</strong> CBR(highest)

• Modify the qos-0 profile
