Purpose:
To verify if the DSLAM can support DS priority function, please <strong>set</strong>:
One port, three PVCs and VLAN mapping,
vlanid 101 <strong>to</strong> high (2), 102 <strong>to</strong> high(1), 103 <strong>to</strong> low(0),104 <strong>to</strong> highest(3)
ADSL Down stream 6Mbps, Up stream 1Mbps.
You can play with the 802.1p which you want. Just make sure the next switch do the right mapping.
port vpi/vci vlanid 802.1p DN <strong>QoS</strong>
1 8/35 101 4 high(2) ----- Default Setting
1 8/36 102 2 medium(1)
1 8/37 103 1 low(0)
1 8/38 104 7 highest(3)
Verification:
DS test streams (100K/4Mbps, 1500Bytes IP packet for each VCC) and lasts for 1 minute. DS traffic of
VCC 3 is delivered without packet loss and error, and the number of discarded packets of VCC 1 is more
than that of VCC 2. The packets of US traffic should be tagged with correctly VLAN IDs and user
priority values.
• Create three PVCs of 1 st port, 8/36, 8/37, 8/38
$pvc create 1 2 8 36
$pvc create 1 3 8 37
$pvc create 1 4 8 38
• Disable port
$port disable 1
$modify bridge port intf portid 1 status disable
$modify bridge port intf portid 25 status disable
$modify bridge port intf portid 49 status disable
$modify bridge port intf portid 73 status disable
• Create static vlan group 101 for portid 1, 102 for portid 25, 103 for portid 49
$create vlan static vlanname 101th vlanid 101 egressports 1 193 untaggedports 1
$create vlan static vlanname 102th vlanid 102 egressports 25 193 untaggedports 25
$create vlan static vlanname 103th vlanid 103 egressports 49 193 untaggedports 49
$create vlan static vlanname 104th vlanid 104 egressports 73 193 untaggedports 73
• Change the priority mapping of the portid 1 <strong>to</strong> rt-VBR(high)
$qos port <strong>set</strong> 1 rt-vbr
• Change the priority mapping of the portid 25 <strong>to</strong> nrt-VBR(medium)
$qos port <strong>set</strong> 25 nrt-vbr
• Change the priority mapping of the portid 49 <strong>to</strong> UBR(low)
$qos port <strong>set</strong> 49 ubr
• Change the priority mapping of the portid 73 <strong>to</strong> CBR(highest)
$qos port <strong>set</strong> 73 cbr
• Modify the qos-0 profile
$qos <strong>set</strong> qos-0 ubr pcr 4096
$qos <strong>set</strong> qos-0 nrt-vbr pcr 4096
$qos <strong>set</strong> qos-0 cbr pcr 4096
• Enable port
$port enable 1
$modify bridge port intf portid 1 status enable
$modify bridge port intf portid 25 status enable
$modify bridge port intf portid 49 status enable
$modify bridge port intf portid 73 status enable
