DESIGN
Placing the art of design in its sociological and technological context, the DESIGN
collection tells the story of the 20th century through the industrial objects that
have made their mark on it. The objects reflect their time, while at the same time
anticipating the future.
SCANDALOUS IMPRESSIONISTS
This film retraces the adventure of a group of young painters, who from 1874,
launched an aesthetic that broke away from the style of historical paintings
displayed in the official Salons of the era.
VIE CACHEE DES OEUVRES (LA)
For any tourist in a hurry, the museum's masterpiece is like a giant butterfly pinned
to the wall - duly identified and labeled, no risk of it flying away, making it possible
to dash past, certain that it will still be there for next time, always the same. As good
as gold. Behind the reassuring appearance lies a much more dramatic reality.
