Thermic Oil<br />
Product Description<br />
<strong>Oilibya</strong> Thermic Oil is a premium, high quality product intended for use in closed indirect<br />
heating installations. It is formulated from highly refined base stocks which are resistant to<br />
thermal cracking and chemical oxidation. It has good heat transfer efficiency. The vis<strong>co</strong>sity is<br />
such that it can be pumped readily at both start-up and operating temperatures.<br />

• High thermal stability, good oxidation resistance and low vis<strong>co</strong>sity.<br />
Application<br />
• Re<strong>co</strong>mmended for use in closed, <strong>co</strong>ld-oil sealed, indirect heating and <strong>co</strong>oling systems in all kinds of industrial processes operating at bulk oil<br />
temperatures up to a maximum of 320 o C and at atmospheric pressure.<br />
• <strong>Oilibya</strong> Thermic Oil should be used only in systems with forced circulation. Systems that depend on <strong>co</strong>nvection for circulation of the heat transfer<br />
medium do not provide a rapid enough flow to prevent local overheating and rapid deterioration of the oil. Further, this oil is not re<strong>co</strong>mmended for<br />
use in open systems where hot oil is exposed directly to the air.<br />
