TEEN VOLUNTEERS<br />
Teens, age 16 or older, can volunteer in a variety of ways<br />
with <strong>Orange</strong> <strong>County</strong> Parks and Recreation. If a student<br />
is under the age of 16 and wants to volunteer, he/she<br />
must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all<br />
times during their volunteer opportunity.<br />
As a Teen <strong>Volunteer</strong>, you can:<br />
• Gain experience and learn responsibility<br />
• Work with professional adults<br />
• Help meet real needs in our community<br />
• Enjoy the satisfaction that comes from<br />
serving others<br />
• Earn community service hours for school,<br />
college entrance and scholarship requirements<br />
Opportunities include:<br />
• Camp Scooter (ages 13-15)<br />
• Afterschool programs<br />
• Athletic programs<br />
• Office assistant

ADULT VOLUNTEERS<br />
Opportunities for Adult <strong>Volunteer</strong>s include:<br />
• Coaching youth sports<br />
• Afterschool tutoring<br />
• Summer camp<br />
• Park beautification<br />
• Special events<br />
• Office assistant<br />
To become an <strong>Orange</strong> <strong>County</strong> Parks and Recreation<br />
<strong>STARS</strong> Teen, Adult or Group <strong>Volunteer</strong>, you must<br />
complete a <strong>Volunteer</strong> Application and a Florida<br />
Department of Law Enforcement Background<br />
Screening Request Form (background check is free of<br />
charge). Forms can be turned in at the park where you<br />
want to volunteer.<br />
