Scottish Magazine Awards 2007
Shortlist announced
The Periodical Publishers Association in Scotland (PPA Scotland) is pleased to announce today, the
shortlist for the Scottish Magazine Awards 2007. Spanning the fields of business, entertainment,
communication, design, sport, religion, history, politics, retailing and medical science, 180 entries were
received from forty-five companies with 90 entries reaching the final shortlist. The decision was taken by
the chairman of judges to create two shortlists from the record number of entries to the design category
and awards will be given for Best Magazine Design and Best Magazine Redesign.
Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony on Thursday 29 November 2007 at
Our Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh. The overall winner and Magazine of the Year will be chosen from
category winners and will be announced on the night by the host for the evening, Carol Smillie.
Corporation, based their decisions on publishing excellence. With more companies than ever submitting
