Are you involved in setting up a
new event on the Sunshine Coast?
Did you know there’s a network
of experts waiting to share their
knowledge and skills to help you to
make your event a success?
The Sunshine Coast Events Network
(educational and evenings), otherwise
known as scene, is designed to
strengthen the quality and enrich the
diversity of events on the Sunshine
Coast.
The next educational workshop will
be held at Mooloolaba TAFE from
1.30pm to 5pm on 18 October 2012.
The workshop is for anyone interested
in running new events, developing
existing events or enhancing their
skills. The cost per person is $30
(early bird $25, students $20) and
includes afternoon tea.
The networking evening, following the
workshop, provides an opportunity for
those in the events industry to build
important business relationships.
The next educational
workshop will be held

The evening is free to attend and
includes fi nger food, entertainment,
guest speakers – as well as new
products and technology showcases.

Biosphere reserves are sites
that demonstrate innovative
approaches to conservation
and sustainable development.
Noosa Biosphere Ltd* in
partnership with the CSIRO, is
researching local communities’
sense of ‘place’ and attachment
to the region by asking people to
provide a short narrative about
one of their experiences.
The results will be analysed by
the CSIRO and shared to inform
community and local government
projects.
