Mental Health Day Services Review

8. Summary Findings:
In summary the main outcome of the Day Services Review was to access current provision with the aim of transforming day service
provision to ensure that it is socially inclusive. A number of barriers were identified as part of the review and completion of the
Equality Impact Assessment has identified some areas which need further development. Whilst the recommendations promote a
socially inclusion model of provision the implementation plan does not fully embrace the direction of travel identified within the
recommendations.
This assessment will trigger a review of the Implementation Plan in particular recommendation 1.3 which focuses on meeting diverse
needs in:
Specific provision for males
Specific provision for those from BME communities
