Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Company Inc. <strong>Report</strong><br />

During <strong>the</strong> period <strong>of</strong> July 1, <strong>2010</strong> to June 30, <strong>2011</strong> The Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Company Inc. was dispatched to<br />

527 emergencies. These emergencies consisted <strong>of</strong> 190 Fire Calls, 337 Emergency Medical Service Calls.<br />

We will continue to support with <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> our community hall, organizations such as: <strong>Salem</strong> Recreation<br />

Commission, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and <strong>the</strong> Venture Crew. Additional organizations <strong>Salem</strong><br />

Land Trust, <strong>Salem</strong> Senior Citizens and <strong>Town</strong> meetings held by The Board <strong>of</strong> Finance and Board <strong>of</strong> Selectman.<br />

Our Community hall is open free <strong>of</strong> charge to any town resident for <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong> a funeral reception. Please call <strong>the</strong><br />

company at 860-859-1743 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm week days for scheduling. The Community Hall is used very<br />

<strong>of</strong>ten, we will do our very best to accommodate everyone in <strong>the</strong>ir time <strong>of</strong> need.<br />

We will continue to <strong>of</strong>fer classes for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR ) and Automated External Defibrillator (<br />

AED ) for <strong>the</strong> Heart Saver Program covering <strong>the</strong>, Public, <strong>Town</strong> Boards and Commissions, <strong>Town</strong> Hall, Library and Public<br />

Works Employees and o<strong>the</strong>r organizations in town with a recovery cost <strong>of</strong> materials for <strong>the</strong> class. To date we have 21<br />

defibrillators throughout our town.<br />

We are always in need <strong>of</strong> Volunteers for EMS, Firefighters, support and fund raising.<br />

The Officers and Members wish to thank <strong>the</strong> taxpayers for <strong>the</strong> privilege in serving <strong>the</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Salem</strong> since 1956.<br />
