The <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong> met in Special Session at the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong> Office on Thursday,<br />
July 5, 2012 at 7:00 a.m.<br />
Mrs. Cole, President <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong>, called the meeting to order.<br />

Mrs. Adamec moved, seconded by Mr. Mercurio to approve a contract with<br />

a. Monya Jones as assistant principal at Blue Ash and<br />
Montgomery Elementary <strong>Schools</strong> at annual salary <strong>of</strong> $71,000<br />
effective August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2014 per the terms<br />
and conditions <strong>of</strong> her individual employment contract. This is<br />
a replacement position.<br />
b. Ashley Gleim as social studies teacher at <strong>Sycamore</strong> High<br />
School on step 3 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule effective<br />
2012-2013 school year. MA from Miami University. This is<br />
a replacement position.

Elementary School on step 3 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary<br />
schedule effective 2012-2013 school year. BA from Xavier<br />
University. This is a replacement position.<br />
d. Amy Lichey as first grade teacher at Blue Ash Elementary<br />
School on step 3 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule effective<br />
2012-2013 school year. MA from Ohio State University.<br />
This is a replacement position.<br />
e. Mary John Niehaus as fourth grade teacher at Blue Ash<br />
Elementary School on step 4 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary<br />
schedule effective 2012-2013 school year contingent on<br />
receiving license. MA from University <strong>of</strong> Cincinnati. This is<br />
a new position due to enrollment.<br />
f. Nicholas Niehaus as 5/7 math teacher at Aves Academy on<br />
step 0 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule effective 2012-2013<br />
school year. BA from University <strong>of</strong> Cincinnati. This is a<br />
replacement position.<br />
g. Hailey Parnes as sixth grade teacher at Edwin H. Greene<br />
Intermediate School on step 0 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary<br />
schedule effective 2012-2013 school year. MA from Xavier<br />
University. This is a replacement position.<br />
h. Emily Ponto as first grade teacher at Blue Ash Elementary<br />
School on step 0 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule effective<br />
2012-2013 school year. BS from Xavier University. This is a<br />
replacement position.<br />
i. Robert Stinson as 2/7 science teacher at <strong>Sycamore</strong> Junior<br />
High School on step 0 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule<br />
effective 2012-2013 school year. BS from Miami University.<br />
This is a new position due to enrollment.<br />
j. Tina Tidd as special education teacher at Symmes Elementary<br />
School on step 4 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule effective<br />
2012-2013 school year. BA from Miami University. This is<br />
a replacement position.<br />
k. John Turner as 6/7 Japanese teacher at <strong>Sycamore</strong> Junior High<br />
and High <strong>Schools</strong> on step 3 <strong>of</strong> the certificated salary schedule<br />
effective 2012-2013 school year contingent on receiving<br />
license. MA from University <strong>of</strong> Massachusetts Boston. This<br />
is a replacement position.
<strong>Sycamore</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong> – Special Meeting 4<br />
July 5, 2012<br />
l. Tucker Skove as volleyball adult assistant coach for 2012<br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>Education</strong> Summer Recreation program at the<br />
rate <strong>of</strong> $15 per hour. The program is funded by <strong>Community</strong><br />
<strong>Education</strong> Summer Recreation fund.<br />
m. Chase Walker as summer maintenance helper on step 1 at the<br />
rate <strong>of</strong> $9.00 per hour effective 7/5/12.<br />
n. The following individual to be employed as substitute<br />
custodian on an as needed basis effective 7/6/12:<br />
1. Steve Carey – Step 3<br />
o. June Haverland to be paid the appropriate summer school<br />
hourly rate <strong>of</strong> pay for provision <strong>of</strong> extended school<br />
year/summer school supports effective 7/6/12.<br />
