for multimedia broadcast much easier. When we created Headline Sports,
there was nothing like it on earth. Our product automatically collates several
different news and wire services and presents that information on screen,
nationwide, up-to-the-second. Because of the flexibility of our software and
RTX, we could just inject national and regional information seamlessly into
the broadcast.

We use RTX as the foundation for creating what we call the Blazer Box.
The Blazer Box does most of the character generation during the show.
It not only displays and updates the score, but as the game progresses,
the Blazer Box displays real-time statistics showing how many points
that player has scored, what the shooting percentage of that player is
and how many fouls that player has. We slide out stats whenever it’s
appropriate. As a player scores, virtually instantly, the box slides out a
panel that shows how many points that player has. Very few other
displays give you those real-time statistics. I couldn’t find any other
product out there that would allow a fairly novice programmer to
actually put together a reliable on-air system. RTX is pretty much the
only game in town in terms of doing live character generation.
