”There’s probably an easier and cheaper way to
assemble an entire line of bikes than the way we
do it,” says Senior Vice President of Bikes Bob
Margevicius, “But the only way to ensure that we’re
continually developing new technologies and giving
our customers the best bike for the type of riding
they enjoy is to develop or handpick every piece.”
A half-dozen dedicated team members including,
Andy Jacques-Maynes, Brandon Sloan, and Joe
Buckley, (Deacon James, Travis Widder, Marco
Sonderegger, not pictured), rack up more frequent
flyer miles than a federal air marshall developing just
the right drop bar for our Tricross, wheelset for our
Demo, fork for our Crosstrail and a million-and-one
other crucial decisions.

says Margevicius. “Which is a good excuse to get
out and ride more.”
