Gymnasium Classes & Programs continued
Scrapbooking Workshops for adults
and teens, presented by Colette Thacker,
gives both experienced and new scrapbookers
a chance to organize photos and memorabilia
into meaningful and long-lasting albums. Learn
a variety of scrapbooking techniques. Workshops
are Sundays from 10am to 6pm at a cost of $20. Preregistration

Kids Cuisine class, instructed by Enid Weinraub, will
teach the basics, such as microwave cooking and
how to make healthy snacks, international foods
and traditional favorites. Ongoing four-week sessions
are held on Mondays from 4:30 to 5:30pm at a cost of
$25. An additional supply fee of $10 is to be paid to
the instructor during the first class.
High Touch-High Tech After School Science
Spectacular programs for children in kindergarten
through 5th grade offers totally hands-on, totally
participatory, and totally fun science experiments.
Ongoing four-week sessions are held September to
June on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm at a cost
of $60. An additional supply fee of $15 is to be paid
to the instructor during the first class.
Playball will introduce
boys and girls to the
wonders of sports
participation through
an interactive class that
introduces and improves
ball handling skills, positive
attitude and sportsmanship.
Children participate in a variety
of fun-filled games and activities
to boost their confidence and
interest in sports. First-time
participants will receive one free
introductory class. Enrollment
is limited, so register early.
Ongoing monthly sessions are
held Mondays from 3 to 4pm
for ages 3 to 4; 4 to 5pm for
ages 7 to 10; Thursdays from 3
to 4pm or 4 to 5pm for ages 4 to
6, at a cost of $55 per month.

Sartory Senior Center

held at Sartory Senior Center, including trips,

Senior Center is located at 10150 NW 29 Street
in Mullins Park. Take Coral Springs Drive to NW
29 Street and go east. Enter Mullins Park on the
south side of the street. Turn left at the stop sign.

The Coral Springs Senior Pride Bus Program
provides transportation to local groceries and
malls for senior citizens. On Fridays, the group
also goes on trips to local attractions at an
additional cost. Any Coral Springs senior age 55
or older can join this service as long as they are
able to board the bus without assistance and
carry their own packages. The annual fee is $20.

Kidokinetics is an exciting and unique program
developed to provide boys and girls with an alternative
way to improve and enhance their fitness. This
fun-filled class includes activities that develop motor
skills, physical fitness and improve self-confidence.
Kidokinetics focuses on individual achievements in
a non-competitive environment. Activities include
basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, t-ball, hula-hoops,
bean bags, golf, volleyball and more. Ongoing sessions
are held September to May at the Coral Springs
Gymnasium on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30pm for
ages 3 to 10. Prices vary depending on the length of
the session.
