David Cameron believes that we should be guided by morals when paying tax. If we think that killing
people in Afghanistan is morally wrong we are entitled to a rebate.
An anonymous reader: “Hi, My wife and I occasionally walk from our house above Anyos down to La Vella and
we have been looking forward to when the new island/tunnel entrance is finished so that the path that runs
along the river beneath it is useable again so we do not have to risk the traffic in the tunnel. We made the walk
last Sunday and wrongly assumed that we could get onto the path by taking one of the new roads and
paths that run beneath this new wonder of modern road design. Whilst our detour led to us retracing our steps,
I would advise anyone interested to look at this new construction from beneath as it really is a most a
impressive sight with clean lines and smooth curving road above. Less impressive was the memorial alongside
the road in memory of the poor souls who lost their lives in the construction process, not because of the design
of the memorial itself, but because the only names on it are those of an Andorran and a Portuguese politician.
No record of the names of those that actually died at all! A bit like having a gravestone with only the name of
the person that owns the gravestone manufacturing company on it not the person buried beneath don’t you
think?”
