AndAds is an English-language collection of advertisements, gossip and information,
distributed free of charge by email in Andorra usually on the 2 nd , 12 th and 22 nd of each month.
ORDINO PARISH CHURCH. Father Juan celebrates Mass in English at noon on the last Saturday of every
month in the Parish Church of Ordino. This month it is on Saturday June 29th. There is the Sacrament of
Reconciliation before Mass. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you. We meet for coffee at Leon's
(opposite the Church) after Mass and hopefully we will be able to sit outside on the Placa.

AT HOME WITH THE SINGERS! A Concert with attitude! The International Singers, of the
International Club, will be holding their light-hearted fund-raising evening on Friday, 28th June at the comú of
Escaldes-Engordany. Your evening starts at 8.30pm with drinks provided by the Club and home-made pica pica
from the Singers, followed at 9pm by the main concert and raffle. This year we are very pleased to announce
that Nicholas Foster (clarinet) and Elizabeth Downes (flute) will be joining us as invited guests. There will
be the usual mix of choral songs, solos, and some audience participation too which all makes for a very relaxed
and informal night out. Entrance tickets at 5€ are on sale at the Club's Wednesday Coffee Morning at Novotel
Hotel or from Janet Humphreys, at Bon Dia, La Massana on Tuesday 25th from 11.30am - 1pm and at the door
on the night. You can also try your luck with our raffle. Tickets cost just 1€ each, with the chance of winning
this year's first prize, again donated by David le Mare and RINSA, of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) tablet.

Simon Manley will succeed Giles Paxman as the UK's ambassador in Madrid and nonresident
ambassador to Andorra. He takes up the post in October.

INCOME TAX UPDATE – NOT WORTH READING
Last Thursday, Toni Marti made a speech implying the following, but it was not very clear so it is best
to wait for the Law:
The draft Income Tax Law will go to the Cabinet on the 3 rd July but there is no date scheduled for it to
be discussed in Parliament. Implementation is pencilled in for 1 st Jan 2015, but there was also
mention of mid-2016. The tax will start at 5% above 24,000€ p.a., increasing to 10% above 40,000€,
with exemptions for dependents and a “primary residence”. For unearned income there will be an
exemption of 3,000€ p.a., but it is not clear how this relates to the 40,000. For most people the tax
will be deducted at source. International exchange of fiscal information will not happen immediately,
but it is on the horizon. Likewise there are no plans for inheritance tax, gift tax or wealth tax.#

A RECIPE FROM CHRISTINE – A TASTE OF THAI – CORN FRITTERS.
2 eggs,
2 rounded Tbs Plain flour,
½ teasp ground Cumin,
Drained tin of Sweetcorn or 300 gr. frozen,
4 spring onions chopped,
bunch of Coriander, chopped.
2 or 3 tbs oil.
Beat the eggs, flour and Cumin until smooth, stir in the Sweetcorn, Onions and Coriander.
Heat half the oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls into the pan to make the fritters, cook a couple of
minutes each side until crispy and golden.
