3. CRITERIA FOR EXAMINATION:<br />
! Age: 40 to 70 years old (calendar year)<br />
! Dan: 3rd dan minimum<br />
! Well knowledge of each kata<br />
! Practical ability of each kata<br />
! More than 10 years experience of teaching kata<br />
! Approval by the President of the national <strong>Judo</strong> governing body of the<br />
country in which the candidate holds citizenship<br />
! Application fees: US 200-dollars (It is possible to take up to 5 katas in once.<br />
No refund even if examinee fails.)<br />
4. METHOD OF EXAMINATION:<br />
! Oral questions by English<br />
! Confirmation of Judging System by Practical exam with judo-gi<br />
! Exam of Scoring with video demonstration<br />
! Written <strong>Examination</strong><br />
5. EXAMINERS:<br />
! Two persons for each kata<br />
! <strong>JUA</strong> Kata Commission members with assisting by Kodokan Kata Expert.<br />
! If Commission member takes exam, he/she will not be examiner.<br />

6. ACCOMMODATION:<br />
Kodokan hostel: Single room, JPN¥3,500-/person/night without meals<br />
Hotel around Kodokan: Single room, JPN¥10,000-/person/night with breakfast<br />

7. <strong>JUA</strong> <strong>KATA</strong> JUDGE LICENSE:<br />
! As the result of the examinations, after consultation with kata examiners,<br />
<strong>JUA</strong>-A or <strong>JUA</strong>-B licenses shall be granted to the passed examinees by <strong>JUA</strong><br />
kata commission.<br />
! Among the successful candidates of <strong>JUA</strong>-A license, <strong>JUA</strong> kata commission<br />
shall select examinees represent from <strong>JUA</strong> to the IJF kata judge<br />
examination, which is taking place in Paris, France on November 22-23,<br />
<strong>2008</strong>.<br />
8. OTHER INFORMATION:<br />
! Examinees must bring his/her own white <strong>Judo</strong>gi.<br />
! <strong>JUA</strong> Kata Commission meeting will be held in this time.<br />
! If examinees want to study katas before examination in Kodokan, it is<br />
available. Please contact to Kodokan.<br />
