AVAILABILITY OF HUMAN CATARACTS FOR INVESTI-
GATIVE STUDY UNDER THE COOPERATIVE CATARACT
RESEARCH GROUP (CCRG) PROGRAM—A supply of
intracapsular extracted cataracts from India are available.
These cataracts are stored frozen and some are classified
according to the CCRG protocol. A charge for shipment from
Oakland University to the investigator's laboratory will be
made. Those interested in obtaining these cataracts should
contact Dr. Venkat Reddy, Eye Research Institute, Oakland
University, Rochester, Ml 48063. Please provide the
number of cataracts needed and a short description of the
proposed study. A CCRG committee will decide on the
distribution of these cataracts.

at The Ohio State University. As executive officer of the
College of Optometry, the Dean assumes fiscal and administrative
responsibility for all educational, research and clinical
programs within the College. The deanship is a twelvemonth
position which is available July 1,1986. Nominations

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP Francis I. Proctor Foundation,
University of California, San Francisco The Francis
I Proctor Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology conducts
a one to two year training program in ocular inflammatory
and infectious diseases for Board qualified
ophthalmologists and postdoctoral scientists. The fields of
study in the Foundation include microbiology and pathogenesis
of chlamydial, bacterial and viral (particularly herpes
simplex) eye infections, ocular immunology, and cell biology.
Research support for U.S. citizens is available through an
NIH departmental training grant or through individual applications
to the NIH and other agencies. Applicants from
outside the US are also encouraged to apply. Applications for
July 1989 fellowships will be accepted until March 31,1988.
