MINUTES OF COUNCIL OF DELEGATES
MEETING
Saturday, March 31, 2012
Marriot Hotel
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
President Gene Wandro called the meeting to order at 12:00 P.M.
Meeting was held at the Marriott Hotel in Cedar Rapids.
Edgar Wise gave the invocation. Dennis Hebdon spoke on behalf
of the Cedar Rapids Bowling Association. Mayor Pro Tem, Monica
Vernon gave a welcome from the Mayor’s office.
Hall of Fame chairperson Dennis Peckenschneider read the
resumes of four new Hall of Fame inductees. ROGER WHEELER
from Cedar Rapids for Bowling Ability, RANDY NABER from
Muscatine for Meritorious Service, TOM SCOTT from Fort Dodge
in the Special Category and GREG EVERETT from Waterloo,
Posthumous. President Wandro presented a plaque, pin, patch,
name tag and a certificate from USBC.
After a 15 minute recess the following speakers addressed our
delegates; Jerry Robinson from the Iowa State Young Bowling
Association, Connie Rommel from the Iowa State Women’s Bowling
Association, Bruce Strom, representing the Iowa State Bowling
Proprietors Association and the Iowa State Bowling Council and
Mary Lee Malmberg from the Cedar Rapids Convention & Visitor
Bureau. We also had a person from Sioux City welcome us to their
city for next year's state tournament.
Charlie Kutsch, Association Manager, gave the roll call with
the following members present: Wandro, Kutsch, Peckenschneider,
Logel, Jordan, Bacon, Jennings, Quigley, Budzyn, Stanley,
Gonshorowski, Wellner, McLaughlin,Wise, Craw, Schoep, Tucker,
Gustin, Skinner, Hebdon, Scott, Fremont, Meisner, Cochran and
Stouffer.
Reading of the minutes by Charlie: With no corrections, the
minutes were approved as printed.
Charlie, with the credentials report, showed we had 60 delegates
plus 9 board members for a total voting strength of 69 which gave
us a quorum for our meeting.
