MINUTES OF COUNCIL OF DELEGATES<br />

MEETING<br />

Saturday, March 31, <strong>2012</strong><br />

Marriot Hotel<br />

Cedar Rapids, <strong>Iowa</strong><br />

President Gene Wandro called the meeting to order at 12:00 P.M.<br />

<strong>Meeting</strong> was held at the Marriott Hotel in Cedar Rapids.<br />

Edgar Wise gave the invocation. Dennis Hebdon spoke on behalf<br />

of the Cedar Rapids Bowling Association. Mayor Pro Tem, Monica<br />

Vernon gave a welcome from the Mayor’s office.<br />

Hall of Fame chairperson Dennis Peckenschneider read the<br />

resumes of four new Hall of Fame inductees. ROGER WHEELER<br />

from Cedar Rapids for Bowling Ability, RANDY NABER from<br />

Muscatine for Meritorious Service, TOM SCOTT from Fort Dodge<br />

in the Special Category and GREG EVERETT from Waterloo,<br />

Posthumous. President Wandro presented a plaque, pin, patch,<br />

name tag and a certificate from <strong>USBC</strong>.<br />

After a 15 minute recess the following speakers addressed our<br />

delegates; Jerry Robinson from the <strong>Iowa</strong> <strong>State</strong> Young Bowling<br />

Association, Connie Rommel from the <strong>Iowa</strong> <strong>State</strong> Women’s Bowling<br />

Association, Bruce Strom, representing the <strong>Iowa</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bowling<br />

Proprietors Association and the <strong>Iowa</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bowling Council and<br />

Mary Lee Malmberg from the Cedar Rapids Convention & Visitor<br />

Bureau. We also had a person from Sioux City welcome us to their<br />

city for next year's state tournament.<br />

Charlie Kutsch, Association Manager, gave the roll call with<br />

the following members present: Wandro, Kutsch, Peckenschneider,<br />

Logel, Jordan, Bacon, Jennings, Quigley, Budzyn, Stanley,<br />

Gonshorowski, Wellner, McLaughlin,Wise, Craw, Schoep, Tucker,<br />

Gustin, Skinner, Hebdon, Scott, Fremont, Meisner, Cochran and<br />

Stouffer.<br />

Reading of the minutes by Charlie: With no corrections, the<br />

minutes were approved as printed.<br />

Charlie, with the credentials report, showed we had 60 delegates<br />

plus 9 board members for a total voting strength of 69 which gave<br />

us a quorum for our meeting.<br />
