P(01-1) Electrodynamics Force Fields and interfacial Phenomena (SRF /JRF) (1 Post ). 

SRF: Eligibility : M.Tech (Chemical, Mechanical) / B.Tech (Chemical, Mechanical), MSc. 

(Physics) with minimum 2 years experience. 

Salary : Rs.14000/- +30% HRA p.m. 

JRF : Eligibility : B.Tech (Chemical, Mechanical) / M.Sc (Physics) 

Salary : Rs.12,000/- + 30% HRA p.m. 

Job Profile : The project involves the experimental and theoretical study of electrodynamic and 

interfacial force fields, in relation to the deposition/detachment and micromanipulation of nanoparticles 

and creation of fine dispersion and emulsionse. 

P(01-2) Deformation of Charged Drops & Vesicles at Ultra Low Surface Tension in Brownian and 

NonBrownian Regime 

SRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Tech (Chemical, Mechanical) / B.Tech (Chemical, Mechanical), 

MSc. (Physics) with minimum 2 years experience. 

Salary : Rs.14000/- p.m. 

Job Profile : Experimental (Light Microscopi) & Numerical (CFD Simulations) studies in charged 

drops vesicles. 

P(01-3) General Strategies for Nanoparticles of Controlled Size, Shape and composition Magnetite as a 

case study for MRI Applications 

JRF: (2 Posts) Eligibility : M.E /M.Tech in Engineering or B.E /B.Tech in Engineering with 2 

years of research experience. 


Job Profile:One position is for nanoparticle synthesis (colloidal routes, surface 

functioanlization), characterization (XRD, DLS, UV-Visible spectroscopy, AFM, TEM) and 

application (particle stability and cellular uptake) development. The second position is for 

mathematical modeling (population balance, MC, MD simultions) to predict synthesis mechanism 

and nanoparticle properties. 

P(01-4) Establishment of Low Temperature / High Magnetic Field Facilities 

RA: (1 Post) Eligibility : Ph.D in Physics with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics 

(Experimental) 

Salary : Rs.16000/- to 18000/- + HRA p.m. 

TA: (1 Post ) Eligibility : B.Sc in physics 

Salary : Rs.10000/- + HRA p.m. 

P(01-5) Tunable and Multi Wavelength Fiber Laser for Fiber Optic Applications 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : First Class in M.Sc (Physics) /B.Tech/B.E. Qualifying in NETe /CSIR 

(JRF / Lecturership) or GATE examination will be an adveantage. Familiarity with Optics / Fibre 

optics is preferable. 


P(01-6) Optimisation Study of Parameters of RPC for India Based Neutrino Observatory 

RF: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Sc.(1st Division or Equivalent) At least one year experience in 

handling gas detectors and adequate knowledge in C++. 


Job Profile : Fabricate the gas detector (Resistive Plate Chamber) and test under different 

ambient conditions. Develop the software in C++ and ROOT to analyze the data taken by the 

detector. 

P(01-7) Evaluation of Coal ash as a Potential Liner for Waste Containment System 

RA: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.E/ M.Tech/M.S with Geotechnological Engineering as a 

specialization in Civil Engineering; Exposure to experimentation and Instrumentation in 

geotechnical engineering is preferable. 


Job Profile : The job invovles planning, execution of model tests in the laboratory at high 

gravity. Before high gravity tests, modelling and characterisation of model materials will have to 

be carried-out in the laboratory. Based on the test results and observations, analysis and

interpretation of test results will have to be carried-out. The work also involves validating 

experimental results using software packages. The candidate is expected to register for a PhD 

with the institute and successful completion of results should be able to lead to a Doctorate 

degree during the tenure of the project. 

TA: (1Post) Eligibility :Diploma in Instrumentation specialization. Exposure to handle 

transducers for measuring force, strain, water pressure and static pressure are preferable. 

Exposure to Data acquisition system and calibration methoeds is preferable. 


Job Profile : The job involves instrumenting model tests for the project and assisting and coordinating 

along with concerned research associate and Principal Investigator in the project 

relevant activities. Should be able to have acquaintance towards grasping, learning and 

implimentation of activities pertaining to the projecte. 

Seismic Analysis of Piping Systems with Supplemented Devices 

RA: (1 Post ) Eligibility : M.E /M.Tech in Structural Engineering. 


Development of 2-D computer model to simulate gas flow, solid flow, temp. & reactions inside a 

blast furnace 

PE: (2 Posts) Eligibility : B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or 

Mechanical Engineering. Fresh Graduates can apply. The candidate should have exposure to 

Transport Phenomena, Numerical Analysis and C-Programming. 


Job Profile : The project is to develop a 2-D computer model to simulate gas flow, solid flow, 

temperature and reactions inside a blast furnace. The model will be installed at Bhilai steel plant. 

This may provide opportunity for those candidates who aree seeking career in steel plants. 

ICT for Agriculture knowledge management system 

RA: (3 Posts) Eligibility : B.E. / B.Tech /M.C.A./ M.Sc Computer Science with minimum of one 

year experience. 

Salary : Rs.12000/- to 17000/- p.m. 

SRF : (3 Posts) Eligibility : B.E. / B.Tech /M.C.A./ M.Sc Computer Science with minimum of 3 

years experience. 

Salary : Rs.13000/- - 18000/- p.m. 

Job Profile : The appointee will be involved in the development of web based applications to 

create an innovative agricultural – knowledge management system. The system and tools 

developed will be used by students of agriculture, faculty in agricultural colleges and agricultural 

experts. Experience in s/w development with Java/PHP and exposure to core java, JSP, MySQL , 

Oracle, Web technologies and Servlets is essential. Documentation skills, ability to work with a 

team and exposure to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for rural development 

will be an added advantage. The job will also involve research in areas like impact analysis of 

agricultural forums, weather forecast models and valideation of historical crop disease data. 

Land Cover Classification Using Sar Polarimetric Techniques 

RF: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Tech /M.Sc in Remote Sensing. Candidates should have adequate 

Image processing competence. Preference would be given teo candidates with good proficiency in 

C Language programming. 


Geomatics Technologies for Spatio-Temporal monitoring of Snow cover and Glacier region 

RA: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Tech / M.Sc in Remote Sensing. Candidate should have adequeate 

Image Processing, Competence. Preference would be given to candidates with good proficiency 

in C Language programming. This project involves field woerk in high Altitude Himalayan region. 


Geological & geotechnical investigation of land slide in Uttaranchal 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : Bachelor Degree in Engineering with experiance of 1.5 yeear in the 

area of rock science and rock engineering. 


For Detection Of Water-Borne Pathogens 

JRE : (1 Post) Eligibility : Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Electrical and aellied 

engineering disciplines, Physics. Hands on experience in electronic circuit design / 

microcontroller programming desirable. Diploma holders witeh a subsequent degree in 

engineering displines mentioned above may be preferred. 


Job Profile : Person recruited will be expected to design, fabricatee and test analog and digital 

electronic circuits. If the background is suitable, thee JRE will also work on microcontroller 

programming.

P(01-15) Polymer optical waveguide biosensors 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Electrical and aellied 

engineering disciplines, Physics. Hands on experience in electronic circuit design / 

microcontroller programming desirable. Diploma holders witeh a subsequent degree in 

engineering displines mentioned above may be preferred. 


Job Profile : Person recruited will be expected to design, fabricatee and test analog and digital 

electronic circuits. The person will also train in microfabrication techniques and develop polymer 

waveguides and bio-functionalize such waveguides. 

P(01-16) Pseudomonas putida CSV86: Hydrocarbon first or sugar first 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : M Sc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemsitry/ Life seciences 


Job Profile : Research work related to the project. 

P(01-17) Co-Immobilization in nanoengineered biopolymeric carriers as biosensors 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : M.Sc, BPharm, MPharm, BTech, MTech in any discipline with 

experience in cell culture assay 


Job Profile : Research work in preparing enzyme loaded nanoparticles and cell culture assay. 

P(01-18) Orthocad Network : Endo-Prosthetic Skeletal Reconstruction Systems 

RA1: (1 Post) Eligibility : First Class in M.Tech (Mechanical / Bio-Engg) .Knowledge of CAD, 

CAE(FEM) and CAM, Knowledge of Bio-Mechanical test procedures. Relevant work Experience is 

desirable. 

RA2: (1 Post) Eligibility : First Class in B.Tech /MCA with 2 years experience. Knowledge of 

3D graphics programming in C++/C#. Knowledge of interactive web content development. 

Fluent in English (for training content development. 


P(01-19) De novo Protein Design, Customizing Forms and Functions Stereochemically 

JRF: (1 Post) Eligibility : BE/BTech, Ist Class, Computer Science, or any engineering branch 

but with proficiency in C++ 


P(01-20) Automation of R&D Management Processes 

SE: (2 Posts) Eligibility : B.E. / B.Tech /M.C.A./ M.Sc Computer Science with minimum of one 

year experience. Experience in s/w development with Java/PHP and exposure to core java, JSP, 

MySQL, Oracle, Web technologies and Servlets is essential. Documentation skills, ability to work

preferred.
