WHAT HAPPENED
During 2009?
Ask Event – Create, Connect and Commit!
On Friday, April 17, 2009, Janus had its first annual “Ask” breakfast. This
invite-only event took place at the Fountains in Carmel. The program consisted
of testimonials from consumers and parents of the consumers, a
special musical presentation from two consumers, and the “Janus story.”
Virginia Hall
Janus was recently the recipient of an $118,000 check; the check was a
donation from the late Mrs. Virgina Hall of Noblesville.
For years Mrs. Hall watched the Janus transportation vehicles transport her
disabled neighbor on a daily basis; she knew how much it meant to her
neighbor, and witnessed first hand the difference Janus made in the life of
her neighbor.
Client Appreciation Day!
An all day event that allows the consumers to kick back, relax, and have
some fun on a sunny, summer day.
We had a Hawaiian Lau theme with games and prizes, and a highly anticipated
dunk tank with lunch and karaoke to follow!
Shake Down the Stars!
Janus had its signature Fundraising Event, “Shake Down the Stars” on
Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Fountains in Carmel. Cocktails and hors
d’oeuvres were served at 6pm with dinner to follow at 7pm.
The 40’s and 50’s swanky, nightclub atmosphere was re-enacted with entertainment
from the Starry Knights Band as well as Frank and Dean “Once
More.” The night was full of eating, dancing, and mingling along with a
silent and live auction.
