Ideal for long distance communications (“DX” connections), Alan 8001 S Plus is a mobile transceiver
whose use is simple and immediate.
ALAN 8001 S Plus has 17 controls and 5 indicators, such as the knob to adjust the microphone gain (MIC
GAIN), the modulation selector (AM-FM-LSB-USB), the SWR-CAL / RF PWR knob which controls the
antenna adjustment (SWR-CAL) or controls the RF output power from 1 to 4 W in AM/FM (RF PWR).

• RF power selection: adjustment of RF output power in AM-FM.
• Modulation selector (AM-FM-LSB-USB).
• Clarifier: possibility to change the operative frequencies of the receiver above and below the
assigned frequency. Very important function for SSB signals; it improves the AM/FM signals.
• Frequency-meter: precise visualisation of the frequency in RX and TX.
• Modulation knob: you can choose whether to read the output power or the modulation.
• NB/ANL: automatic activation of the noise limiter.
• Band selector: quick selection of the desired channel. This function splits the 400 channels in 10
bands.
• Frequency shift: automatic shift of frequency in 10 KHz steps
