AT EASTER VIGIL! MARCH 30,
2013 — Steven Wilkins received the
Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and
Holy Communion; Brett Hernandez,
along with Mike, Kyle, and Katie Williams,
received the Sacraments of Confirmation
and Holy Communion - all of the
above have been fully initiated into the
Catholic Church. Arlyn Vallejo received
the Sacrament of Holy Communion and
Jose Vallejo renewed his profession of
Faith. Arlyn and Jose will complete their
Sacraments of Initiation with Bishop
Buckon on May 15, 2013, when he confers
the Sacrament of Confirmation on them.
May you all continue to grow in your Faith
and may the Lord continue to bless you
throughout your lives! Congratulations!

2ND SUNDAY OF EASTER / DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
Divine Mercy Sunday, celebrated on the Octave of Easter (the Sunday
after Ester Sunday), is a relatively new addition to the Roman
Catholic liturgical calendar. Celebrating the Divine Mercy of Jesus
Christ, as revealed by Christ Himself to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska,
this feast was extended to the entire Catholic Church by Pope
John Paul II on April 30, 2000, the day that he canonized Saint
Faustina.

2ND SUNDAY OF EASTER /
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy (For
Recitation on ordinary rosary Beads)
Our Father…, Hail Mary…,
the Apostles’ Creed.
Then, on the Our Father beads you will
say the following words:
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and
Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved
Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement
of our sins and those of the whole
world.
On the Hail Mary beads you will say the
following words:
For the Sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
In conclusion three times you will recite
these words:
Holy God, Holy Mighty one, Holy Immortal
One, have mercy on us and on the whole
world.
