8 Ways to Make it Successfully<br />
Through at least 8 More Years of School<br />

1. Put Your Education First!<br />
Nothing should come before your school work! Not even friends or your job should come before your work because your<br />
education is what’s most important. If something is causing you to turn in late assignments or to not have enough time to finish your<br />
work, then you should eliminate it from your schedule so it wont be in the way. And always remember that educational opportunities<br />
won’t wait for you, so you have to work for it!<br />
2. Work Hard!<br />
Don’t be lazy! Make sure you finish everything you are assigned in class. To make doing your work more fun, encourage your friends<br />
to work hard too! That way you won’t seem like you are being singled out. It’s also very helpful that you and your friends can help<br />
each other out. And don’t just stop there… Extra credit will always come in handy! Trust me, all of your work will pay off in the long<br />
run.<br />
3. Play Sports!<br />
Playing sports will help you with a lot of things. First off, playing a sport will help you keep your grades up. In most schools<br />
you have to make certain grades to play in a sport and if you don’t, then most likely you will have some sort of punishment. On a<br />
team, you will be recognized for your talents. This makes it easier to get scholarships and get accepted into colleges. If you are already<br />
accepted into a college, it will help you to make more friends if you’ve decided to go out of state.<br />
4. Join Organizations!<br />
Joining organizations inside and outside of school can prove that you know how to work with others. It also proves that you<br />
spend your time effectively and instead of just sitting on someone’s porch. When colleges see that you are involved in other<br />
organizations, they will be more likely to want you to attend because you are more likely to get involved with the college groups. You<br />
can even get scholarships for some of the organizations you participate in. Joining organizations will also help you make friends.<br />
5. Study and Take the ACT/SAT!<br />
Studying for the ACT and the SAT will increase your chances of getting higher scores. Higher scores will definitely increase<br />
your chances of getting accepted into more schools. And higher test scores will not only increase your letters of acceptance, but it will<br />
make you eligible for more scholarships. Yes! Scholarships will make you worry free about how to pay tuition.<br />
6. Don’t Be Late!<br />
Being tardy to school or work is a major no no! If you are late to class, you are missing a lot of important things that could be<br />
on a test later. Missing points on a test will cause your grade to be lower. So if you are late, you cannot complain about your grade<br />
being too low or your class being too hard because you are not putting your all into your work. Being late to school also shows on<br />
your record. Your tardys will show up when colleges go to look at your transcripts. So think twice before you decide to be late.<br />
7. Look For Scholarships!<br />
You can never have too much money to go to college. During your free time, go online and look up scholarships and join<br />
organizations that promise you scholarships. If you look hard enough, you can find scholarships for anything - like being left handed<br />
or having red hair. And the best thing about some scholarships is that sometimes you can use left over money for your own personal<br />
use.<br />
8. Have a Goal!<br />
Most importantly, have a goal! If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. You always need to know where you are headed.<br />
Having a goal doesn’t mean just knowing what school you are going to, you need to look further into your goal. Like what<br />
requirements you have to meet to get accepted to each school. Make time to research your goals and plans. You should know so much<br />
about what you are going to do that if some one asked you a question about it you would be able to answer without thinking about it.<br />
How To Keep A Positive Attitude During School<br />

Are you constantly stressed out over school home or maybe even work? Well, as a teen, you know we are already<br />
stressed with friends, school, family, and the pressure to fit in or maybe even just peer pressure - period. Being a<br />
teenager myself, I can tell you that I understand. We go through so many changes in our life and have added drama<br />
with school. Sometimes we can’t take it all. But here are some tips to help you with the basics:<br />
Take Power Naps - Students, with their packed schedules, are notorious for missing sleep. Trying to function in a<br />
sleep-deprived state puts you at a disadvantage. You’re less productive and it is more difficult to learn when you are<br />
tired. Once you learn how to power nap, you will see how much better you feel!<br />
Get Exercise - One of the healthiest ways to get rid of stress is to get. You can easily work exercise into your schedule<br />
by doing yoga in the morning and walking to school or to do errands. Playing a sport is a great way to help you have<br />
less stress and enjoy your life more.<br />
Enjoy Music - Music can help you to relieve stress and either calm yourself down or stimulate your mind<br />
as needed. Students can get the most out of music by playing classical music while studying and playing<br />
upbeat music to wake up your brain. Slow melodies are a good way to relax.<br />
Stay Organized - Clutter can cause stress and decrease productivity. A cluttered room or study area<br />
can have negative effects on grades. Reduce the stress and improve your grades by keeping a study<br />
area that’s free of distractions and clutter. You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes!<br />
Eat Right - You may not realize it, but your diet directly affects your mental power! Eating right can also relieve<br />
stress because you will do better in school and reduce your worries about your grades. A proper diet also makes you<br />
feel better so that you can focus on learning, and that is another way to be stress free.
