WARRAWEE PARK JERSEYS TOP
$9000 TWICE
A wonderful crowd of Jersey enthusiasts were at
Mooroopna on Wednesday 31st March for the 1st
stage dispersal sale of the Warrawee Park Jersey
herd of the Hicks family.
Sale top of $9300 was paid for Warrawee Park
Mermaid 17th EX91, this rising 6 year old Kody
daughter sold close to calving to Sultan, and had
PI to 127, she was purchased by Jason Hayes of
Hazelvale Jerseys, Invergordon.
Next top of $9000 was paid for Warrawee Park Carol
10, this very stylish Deerview Performer daughter from
a Perimeter dam was purchased by the Glenbrae
Jersey Stud of J, G & O Carson of Irrewillippe.
Warrawee Park Biestars Golly 2 (ET) EX 92 a full sister to
the 2006 IDW Champion sold for $4750 to D Smith of
Tatara Jerseys. Another member of the same family
Fusions Goldy 2 sold at $4200 to C Baulch of Simpson.
Other noted sales include Jace Princess 2 at $3900
to Jakiah Jerseys of Nalangil, these buyers also
purchased Warrawee Park Love Lies 31 a super dairy
cow at $3600. The well known Craigielea Stud paid
$3800 for Perrys Viscountess EX90. She was one of
many good daughters of Lara Brook Perry sold.
Top selling heifers were Warrawee Park Ilgay 29 a
Lara Jace Pinnacle backed by 4 generations of EX
dams at $3500 selling to Dan Barling of Simpson and
Warrawee Park Miss Velvet 39 a Jace daughter at
$3100 to S Whitten of Tamworth NSW.
Hard to get Semen was in strong demand with
Cleavedale Othello at $610 each for 19 straws,
Shamrock Grove Gemini at $425 per straw, Lester
Sambo $250, Lester $200 per straw.
Selling Agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers
came from all parts of Victoria and as far as north as
Tamworth NSW.

2010 TRADE MISSION TO USA &
CANADA
Jersey Australia is seeking ‘Expressions of Interest’
from its members to join the 2010 Trade Mission to
USA &Canada.
The Trade Mission will enable Australian Jersey
Genetics to be promoted at the All American
Jersey Show and Sales at Louisville Kentucky
6th -8th November as well as at the Canadian
Royal Autumn Winter Fair 10th -13th November
plus a number of high profile Jersey herds which
allows the Trade Mission to take advantage of an
international audience that will include breeders
from all major dairying countries.
Trade Mission will begin November 3rd 2010 and
conclude with herd visits in Canada Tuesday 16th

2010 AGM Notice
Invites all Jersey Breeding Enthusiasts to attend
the 2010 Annual General Meeting which is to be
held in Atlantis Convention Centre, 300 Spencer
St Melbourne Friday 4th June 2010.
The AGM is part of an exciting two day city event
that takes in Tram Restaurant dinner Thursday 3rd
June starting at 5.45pm – 7.30pm. Socialites will
have plenty of options for a free evening which
include Casino, Bars or even a movie.
The AGM takes place at Alantis Hotel & Conference
Center Spencer St Melbourne at 10.00am Friday
4th June. After the official meeting members can
chose to take part in the social options such as
Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Zoo, Shopping
DFO then join the committee at the 2010 Football
season clash between Richmond & St Kilda at
Etihad Stadium.
