Hi all,
A big thanks to everyone who
contributed to our Registrations
beating last year’s.
What’s new:-
Jersey Bulls’ DNA Case Numbers
We now have a full list of Jersey Bulls
who have been DNA tested on our
website. It is sorted by Stud Names.
When doing DNA testing for parent
verification you can look up the bull
and include his DNA Case Number
on your sheet and it should speed
up the process. I can also provide
the list in Excel Spreadsheet (easier
to search) and, for those of you who
will not be dragged kicking and
screaming to a computer, give me
a buzz and you can get it in hard
copy.
Of course that’s not going to help
if you can’t remember what bull
you used and have to test every
canister in your tank (you know who
you are!). Although I have to admit
I was pretty impressed that you
could get a Geneticist so excited
when she finally found it.
What’s not:-
Alright you lot, give us a break. I
know I’ve said I could register from
anything but I didn’t mean I could
read your minds. It is becoming
more common for us to receive
registrations with abbreviations for
bulls’ names of which we have no
idea. Now we’re good, but not that
good! Bit more care required here.
Though I must admit the best one
was a name we could not even
read and on ringing the interested
party were told – “Yeh, couldn’t
really remember his name but I
thought you’d be able to work it
out”. Unfortunately the crystal ball
was out for polishing that week.
And just in case you thought
I’d mellowed, it’s Autumn
Class, Elections, AGM Prep,
& Production Awards………
