RAYMOND BURLEY SIGNATURE
The first ever Santos Martinez signature
model has been afforded to Raymond
Burley, one of the world's most talented and
experienced classical guitarists.
One of the purest, most expressive musical sounds
is that of the traditional nylon string classical guitar.
It is a sound that epitomises the phrase 'it's all in the
fingers', a tone resulting from the direct connection of
guitarist and instrument.
If you desire an instrument that will take you anywhere
from the bedroom to concert halls, the award-winning,
critically-acclaimed range of Santos Martinez classical
and electro-classical guitars offers a combination of rich,
sweet-toned performance and easy playability at a range
of price points.
High levels of specification and the use of premium grade
materials mean that most Santos Martinez instruments
offer such features as tone-enhancing solid spruce or
cedar tops, and US-made Fishman electronics – features
that have led world-renowned players like Raymond
Burley to embrace the brand with open arms.
If classical tones, looks and feel and your thing, try
Santos Martinez today.
The SM2000RB is based on a custom-built
Martin Fleeson model that for years had
been Raymond's main performance guitar.
Fleeson made the original in 1985, and died
the following year. When Ray recently
decided to retire the Fleeson model after
years of service, Santos Martinez was the
obvious next step.
The SM2000RB sticks closely to the
Fleeson guitar's blueprint, with top quality
woods and hardware used throughout,
producing a beautiful classical tone that
is equal to any stage or performance.
“Beautifully constructed, the quality of the woods used on my
signature is superb throughout, as is the finish. The playability,
owing to the beautifully crafted neck shape and action, is excellent,
as is the balance between the treble and bass. From new, the
guitar had a surprising amount of volume and this will no doubt
improve further the more the instrument is played.
The SM2000RB represents amazing quality for a very
modest price tag, which is even more astonishing when
one considers the instrument comes with a plush shaped
hard case.”
professional prices.’
‘Well constructed based on meticulously
considered details with many years of
player experience invested in it.’
‘The first thing that grabbed me about this
guitar is how open and mature it sounds
for something so new!’
