November 2011 Grand Jury Indictments
The County of Kaua'i Office of the Prosecuting Attorney announces the following indictments
from the November 2011 Grand Jury Sessions:
The Grand Jury returned a one count indictment against Garrett John
Alisna, alleging that on October 6, 2011, Alisna committed the offense
of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree a by threatening bodily
injury to another with a knife. A warrant was issued for Garrett’s
arrest and bail was set at $5,000.00.

The Grand Jury returned a three count indictment against Michael
Osborne, alleging that on July 1, 2011, Osborne committed the
offenses of Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the First Degree, Unlawful
Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence by
possessing cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Osborne’s case is set for
jury trial on March 19, 2012

The Grand Jury returned a three count indictment against Jenny Lee
Silva, alleging that on October 7, 2011, Silva committed the offenses
of Robbery in the Second Degree, and two counts of Assault in the
Third Degree by forcefully taking property from an individual and
causing injury to that individual and another. Silva’s case is set for jury
trial on March 12, 2012.

Lacilee Nobriga
The Grand Jury returned a seven count indictment against Lacilee
Nobriga and Tiphany Boissiere, alleging that on August 25, 2011, both
committed the offenses of Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third
Degree, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Promoting a
Detrimental Drug in the Third Degree by possessing
methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Nobriga was
also alleged to have committed the offense of Resisting an Order to
Stop Motor Vehicle. Both cases are set for jury trial on April 2, 2012.

James Mauk
The Grand Jury returned a five count indictment against
James Mauk and Christy Taylor, alleging that on June 30, 2011, Mauk
and Taylor each committed the offenses of Commercial Promotion of
Marijuana in the Second Degree and Unlawful use of Drug
Paraphernalia by possessing marijuana having an aggregate weight of
two pounds or more and possessing drug paraphernalia. Taylor is also
alleged to have committed the offense of Commercial Promotion of
Marijuana in the Second Degree by distributing marijuana having an
aggregate weight of one pound or more. Both Mauk and Taylor’s
cases are set for jury trial on March 19, 2012.

Kevin Reis
The Grand Jury returned a twelve count indictment against
Kevin Reis and Kristen Naito, alleging that on June 27, 2011, Reis and
Naito each committed the offenses of one count of Promoting a
Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree, one count Unlawful Use of Drug
Paraphernalia, one count Place to Keep Ammunition, and two counts
of Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information by
possessing and distributing methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and
ammunition. Additionally, Reis is alleged to have committed one
count of Unauthorized Control of Propelled Vehicle, while Naito is
alleged to have committed one count of Unauthorized Entry into Motor
Vehicle in the First Degree. A warrant was issued for Reis’s arrest and
bail was set at $5,100.00. Naito’s case is set for jury trial on March
19, 2012.

The Grand Jury returned a three count indictment against Duke
Dasalia, alleging that on October 25, 2011, Dasalia committed the
offenses of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, Attempted
Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Property Damage in the
Third Degree by threatening and attempting to injure another with a
vehicle. Dasalia’s case is set for arraignment on December 21, 2011.

Brianna Stevens
The Grand Jury returned a two count indictment against
Brianna Stevens, alleging that on February 11, 2011, Stevens
committed the offenses of Attempted Promoting a Detrimental Drug
in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia by
attempting to possess marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. A
warrant was issued for Stevens’ arrest and bail was set at $2,000.00.

Robin Servantes
The Grand Jury returned an eight count indictment against
Robin Servantes and Teliipioohailani Pa, alleging that on February 17,
2011, Servantes and Pa each committed the offenses of Promoting a
Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree, Unlawful Use of Drug
Paraphernalia and Theft in the Second Degree by possessing crystal
methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and taking property of a
retail store in an amount exceeding $300.00. Servantes was also
indicted for one count of Conditions of Operation and Registration of
Motor Vehicles and one count of Driving Without a License. Both
Servantes and Pa’s cases are set for jury trial on March 27, 2012.

Gregory Freeman
The Grand Jury returned a five count indictment against
Gregory Freeman, alleging that on July 18, 2011, Freeman committed
the offenses of Promoting a Controlled Substance In, On, or Near
Schools, Schools Vehicles, or Public Parks, Promoting a Detrimental
Drug in the Second Degree, Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third
Degree, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Promoting a Harmful
Drug in the Fourth Degree by possessing marijuana, oxycodone,
diazepam, and drug paraphernalia. A warrant was issued for
Freeman’s arrest and bail was set at $3,200.00.
The Grand Jury returned a two count indictment against Bryce
Hokulani Akuna, alleging that on October 3, 2011, Akuna committed
the offenses of Felony Abuse of Family or Household Members and
Abuse of Family or Household Members. Akuna’s case is set for jury
trial on March 27, 2012.

The Grand Jury returned a four count indictment against
William Puulei, alleging that on October 13, 2011, Puulei committed
the offenses of Robbery in the First Degree, two counts of Terroristic
Threatening in the First Degree and one count of Extortion in the
Third Degree by using force and or threats of force while armed with a
knife and taking property from another person. Puulei’s case is set for
jury trial on March 12, 2012.

Edward Ferreira III
The Grand Jury returned a nine count indictment against
Edward Ferreira III, alleging that on October 6, 2011, Ferreira
committed the offenses of four counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug
in the Third Degree, four counts of Unlawful Use of Drug
Paraphernalia and one count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the
Second Degree , by possessing methamphetamine and drug
paraphernalia. A warrant was issued for Ferreira’s arrest and bail was
set at $100.00.
