SAFESKIN* PURPLE NITRILE*
The SAFESKIN* PURPLE NITRILE* product family offers a comprehensive
line of latex-free non-sterile and sterile exam gloves. The PURPLE
NITRILE* is suitable for use across a wide variety of non-sterile
applications. The PURPLE NITRILE*-XTRA with a 6 cm longer cuff gives
you extra protection in high risk situations involving exposure to blood
borne pathogens or infectious fluids. The PURPLE NITRILE* Sterile Pairs
is excellent for sterile, non-surgical procedures in OB/GYN, ER/Trauma,
ICU/CCU, wound care and burn centres.

Clinical Specifications
• Natural Rubber Latex-free – primary material is acrylonitrile-butadiene,
reducing the potential for Type I glove-associated allergic reactions
to natural rubber latex proteins.
• PURPLE NITRILE*-XTRA material has been tested for use with ten
chemotherapy drugs and gluteraldehyde to determine permeation
and breakthrough times. Test results on file.
• Powder-free (according to ASTM D 6124), minimising the potential for
powder-related complications, such as irritant contact dermatitis.
Quality Standards
• Meets or exceeds AQL 1,5 in accordance with European Norm EN 455-1.
• CE-marked as Medical Device Class I (93/42/EEC).
• Biocompatible as measured by Primary Skin Irritation, Repeat
Challenge Sensitisation and 200 Person Modified Draize Test.
• This Medical Device is tested additionally according to the European
Norms for Personal Protective Equipment: EN 388 and EN 374-2/3.
• Sterilized in accordance with AAMI guidelines at a Sterility Assurance
Level (SAL) of 10 -6 .
• Manufactured in accordance with Quality System ISO 9002.
