Died 16 th September 1915 aged 23 years. Born Faversham. Enlisted Sittingbourne. Resided<br />
Petham, Canterbury, <strong>Kent</strong>. Son of William John and Mary Ann Reynolds of “Swarling Manor<br />
Cottages”, Petham, Canterbury, <strong>Kent</strong>. Buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension,<br />
France. Grave reference II.A.36.<br />
William’s name does NOT appear on the Petham civic war memorial.<br />
The day that William died his battalion was in the vicinity of Meteren near Bailleul which explains<br />
where he is buried. William died of wounds that he received in an earlier battle.<br />

(31130) Northamptonshire Regiment. Died 16 th August 1917. Born Great Chart. Enlisted<br />
Canterbury. Charles has no known grave. His name appears on the Tyne Cot Memorial,<br />
Zonnebeke, Belgium. Panel reference 70 to 72.<br />
