Lieutenant James BREMNER. 8 th Battalion, Royal Scots. Formerly War Office, London.<br />

Died 24 th June 1917 aged 27 years. Son of A.H and Grace Bremner of 5, Cobden Crescent,<br />

Edinburgh, Scotland. Buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Belgium. Grave<br />

reference XIII.A.16.<br />

James died of wounds after being evacuated through the casualty clearing chain to a Base<br />

Hospital at Poperinghe. His body was buried nearby.<br />
