We Need Your Help
Our federal funding has been cut by ten
percent. As times change, our primary grant -
from the U.S. Assistant Secretary for
Preparedness and Response – has provided a
solid foundation for our work, but is decreasing
steadily. With this in mind, the Coalition’s
Executive Council invites you to join our
exciting and necessary new endeavor: our
inaugural fundraising campaign.

We are already halfway to accomplishing our
first year’s goal. On June 30 th , 2011 the
healthcare and business communities in King
County came together to show their support
for the Healthcare Coalition. Thanks to their
enthusiasm, we have already received
commitments totaling more than $100,000 –
exceeding half of our $200,000 fundraising
goal for 2011-2012.
Your support makes a difference. We invite
you to join the roster of local organizations and
businesses supporting the Coalition. By joining
our inaugural fundraising campaign, you help
to build a resilient King County community that
can respond and recover from natural and
man-made disasters.
Contributions to the Coalition’s work are
payable to our partnering organization, the
Foundation for Health Care Quality, a Seattlebased
501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We are extremely grateful to our financial
supporters and acknowledge their
contributions in our website, newsletters, staff
presentations, all of our conferences, and in an
annual thank you advertisement in The Seattle
Times.
